Donna & Jonathan We just want to say THANK YOU for the most wonderfull lab we ever expected. She is so easy going and, other than a typical pup, is very well manored and easy going. She is a fast learner though - faster than we anticipated. We're sure you see hundreds of pictures but we just had to attach a few. Thanks also for your emails and pictures during Bailees first eight weeks of life.

Hello Donna and Jonathan,

We just wanted to give you an update on our pup (Lollipop/Gabriel) that we picked up on 1-17-09. We were the first ones there that very snowy and, I am sure for you, busy morning. We got the yellow lab pup with the one black eye brow hair, which you said "was one in a million". We were looking for something special that had a meaning to us for her name. So, on the way back to the Rufus Tanner House, my husband came up with "Millie", our name for "Endless Mountains One in a Million"! By the way, we haven't plucked the hair and we hope it never falls out! We love her just like she is.

The trip home was long, as you can imagine, with delayed flights and overcrowded airports. But she did well. We got hung up in Detroit so long that I had to let her out of the carrier. Needless to say she was going crazy. But she kept the very tired and frustrated crowd entertained. Especially about 30 kids! . This went on for almost two hours. I wanted to be the last to board. As I approached the hatch and a very exasperated captain and crew, I was a little worried. But they all broke into smiles and went crazy over her. When I turned the corner to the isle, she popped her head out again and you would have thought I had Marley himself with me! Everyone was saying "Millie! Millie is on the plane!" When we finally got to our seat, after greeting everyone on our way down the isle, she plopped right down and fell asleep! She woke up about a half hour from Orlando, but the stewardesses didn't mind at all. As we were getting off the plane, I thanked them for their patience and the captain said that she had been a good distraction for everyone.

So now we are home and she is settling in well. You could probably skip this next paragraph because I know you hear it all the time! She is very smart! House training has gone very well and she has taken to the leash like she was born with it attached! She is learning her commands...except for the "no biting". That one takes a while though! We have neighbors who let us come by their house, or they stop by here, to help her practice proper greeting. She has LOT'S of energy!! Her favorite play toy is our cat! Everyone comments on her stunning good looks and asks what kind of dog she is. Most people down here are not familiar with English Lab's...even lab owners! But they too comment on her looks and build. Being in Florida, she is rapidly shedding her puppy fur. Her coat is gorgeous! You don't see the sheen in pictures of yellow labs, like you do the blacks and chocolates. But hers shimmers, literally! She looks a lot like Gabriel, especially in the face and neck. And of course, we tell everyone about you guys and your dogs when they ask where we got her. By the way, she went to the vet for her 2nd visit yesterday and she has gained 7 lbs! She is really growing fast.

There was a huge hole left when our Abby died in October. Millie has filled our house back up with joy and happiness again. Our walks are definitely more fun again! We look forward to coming home, as our house is no longer empty. She likes to be near us and enjoys cuddling. Thank you for all that you do to breed such wonderful dogs! Hopefully, we will be back soon for a black or chocolate to add to the family. I will try to send a picture soon.

How are you and your family. Just dropping a line to say hello with a picture of Seamus, we purchased from you on Nov.14th. Sire Romeo and Dam Melody. He is 4 months old and he is beautiful. When we take him out we are always getting compliments and everyone wants to know where we bought him, I have given many of them your name. He is so intelligent, he picks up on commands quickly and always wants to please you. He is always by our side, no matter where we are in the house. Also, not a day goes by without someone asking me if Pilot is a Newfie. You were right, English Labs are not at all a common breed over here. Even people with labs ask me what type of dog he is. Pilot is so sweet. He just loves to follow me around. Every time I stop walking, he lays down and puts his head on my feet. He lust LOVES people and whines a little if he can't visit. There is another one year old mix in my neighborhood and they would play all day if we would let them. You have done a wonderful job with his early socialization. You and Pilot have exceeded all of my expectations. Also, if you have a lab that will be about a year old when I come back in May, my daughter would like to have the opportunity to be his/her new mom.

Hi Donna, Just a quick note to wish you a happy new year and share a photo of our handsome devil, Buster Montgomery (Macy/Mackie), who is now 6 months old and 60 lbs...(see attached for 8 weeks and now). The recent photo was taken over the holidays on Martha's Vineyard, where he was introduced to the forest for the first time. We're talking about sending him to field training soon -- his instincts are already so strong. Buster has developed into a wonderfully thick English gentleman. His training was a breeze, his build and coat are just gorgeous, our furniture remains in tact, and he remains the friendliest dog on the Upper West Side of Manhattan...! We just love him to bits (he is actually laying on my feet snoozing as I write this). I can't thank you enough for Buster. John and I thought you might like an update on our "Samson". He is so wonderful. I do not think we have ever had a puppy so well behaved and so intelligent as Sammy. Here are a few pictures to show you how he is doing. He helped me with my laundry just yesterday and jumped right into the dryer....yes he broke the door but we fixed it. He loves to help put groceries away especially in the potato and onion drawer you will see this in one of the pictures. He would prefer eating his food off the floor because he gets so excited for food that he spills it and sometimes just lays there and trys to eat it while laying down. Loves water and is known to try to get into the dish when he has drank all of it up. He is very talented in jumping and catching his ball. He jumps very high and catches it in his mouth. He sits when told to. He stays now pretty good and finally he is getting better at "off" while we are eating dinner. Today and yesterday was a breakthrough. He did try to get up on us at the table but one or two "off commmands" and he went and got one of his chew toys and layed down and chewed until we were finished. Finally is enjoying a walk more. At first he did not like his walk and just layed down in the street but now is beginning to walk well. Great little guy. Happy New Year to you and I hope you enjoy the attachments. The Stanleys, We came to your home on 1/2/09 to pick up our puppy from Cricket/Stealer litter. We chose the largest male out of the litter. We want you to know, we ADORE him. He is a wonderful family member and he is doing great. His behavior is unbelieveable to be only a puppy. He immediately became comfortable with his new home and us. We just wanted to let you know that we feel so thankful to have found you guys and to have the opportunity to bring one of your labs into our lives. His name is now officially, Cash! Hazel (Gwen/Preston) has brought so much joy to our home and Duke has really taken to her,surprisingly only after two days.I have all ready taught her to sit,and she now knows her name.I am very excited to train and socialize her...Some 5wks. later,she has had her first interaction with swimming(indoors,of course)and has started puppy school.I know she will be the ace of the class,because she all ready knows all her commands,and walks on leash perfectly.What a beautiful little girl,every where she goes,people stop and have to hold her.The day care she attends 3 days a week,has given her so much joy,and has socialized her tremendously.She is the Love of my life.Thank You for everything.I'll send pictures soon.........Shari Fadale 1/6/09

PS Our former neighbors, Eric and Sandy Dalton, just got a black female from you at the end of December. From the time we got Sahara, Eric started bugging his wife to get a lab. He was amazed at Sahara’s temperament, even when she was a puppy, and thought she was the best dog! He recently called me to confirm that I got her from you because he was finally able to convince Sandy that they were ready to get a dog; he wanted to be sure he got a lab from Endless Mountain because he said that Sahara was the best behaved lab he had ever come across!

Hi Donna-this is Courtney Calacione, who bought Linus in November of 2007 from the Melody/Griz litter! He is now 15 months old and a very healthy 80 pounds! Linus continues to amaze my husband and me everyday with how smart he is. We had our first baby, a boy, in September, and Linus has been fantastic with him-he is so protective and gentle! My husband takes him for long walks at a nearby park, and from day one when we got him, so many people compliment on how beautiful Linus is.. he is such a handsome dog! Linus loves to play with other dogs and is so sociable-everyone loves him. Attached is a picture of Linus taken this past holiday-you can see what a perfect dog he has become! Many thanks, Donna...I've received the fax. You are always a pleasure to deal with and I've expressed this to everyone when I tell them about Endless Mountain Labradors. We get so many wonderful compliments about Gracie. Her personality, her conformation, etc. Our vet is impressed with her every time he sees her and I'm working on getting him to adopt one of your puppies. By the way, at your suggestion I've purchased the book THE ART OF RAISING PUPPIES by the Monks of New Skete. GREAT BOOK!!! Grace is a fast learner and has already mastered several commands. She is such a joy in our lives. The day after Christmas we went to see MARLEY AND ME and cried like babies when Marley dies. It was so very similiar to the recent passing of our beloved black Lab, Cheyenne. So it was an added JOY to come home to the warm and loving welcome that Gracie gives to us whenever we come home. Donna - Maggie Moo (Stealer x Shop Til You Drop) just turned one on Christmas day, so we wanted to send you some pictures (from when she was younger and from last week) so you can see how well she has grown. We are just delighted with Maggie, she is a great companion and addition to our family. Maggie is very smart and mischievous. Having owned a Golden Retriever in the past, we were looking for a calmer dog and Maggie Moo fits the bill. Our trainer even commented, "That is one laid back lab." Dear Stanley's, I'm writing to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as well as share some photos of Luke. Luke was from the Lily/Stealer litter born March 6, 2007. I could not be happier than I am with Luke. Luke is an outdoor dog by defnition and is by far happier in the water... or the snow... or the woods... than inside. Everyone that visits comments on his behavior, how nice of a dog he is, and all I can reply how easy it was to train him. He's overly loving and eager to please. I could go on all day but I'll move on. Attached are a few photos I snapped today after playing in the creek at my parents. He has a few Burdocks stuck here and there, but he wouldn't let that stop him. I was so glad to get these pictures, as it has taken over a year to get him to either pose, or hold still, for a photo. Dear Donna and Jon: Merry Christmas. We were enjoying the evening and telling family tales including stories about Xena our yellow lab. Xena was born 11/26/2000 AKC SN786379/07 the smallest and best of a litter from Dugan and Heidi. She is an amazing and wonderful member of our family. At eight years old she is healthy, very intelligent and playful.... She is the calmest and smartest dog we have ever known. She wants to please, trains easily and is eager to be social. People who visit and meet Xena are always impressed with how polite she is. She walks with us easily and never runs away when off leash, not even when there are other dogs or animals. You may recall the story of how we happened to call you. We had mentioned to Dr. Douglas Antczak of the Baker Institute of the Cornell Vet School that we wanted to get a puppy. Months went by and then he told us of a visit to your kennel by a Cornell Vet ophthalmologist. He said you had a small but very special business. He really liked your dogs. When we spoke you had two pups left from a litter. We told you we had three young children (11,7 and 5) and that we were hoping for a calm dog that was easy to train. You selected Xena for us. Xena was an instant member of the family. We are very pleased with Xena, her personality and know she is the center of our household. Jennifer and Al Biloski live in our neighborhood and we believe "Lucy" has the same father (Dugan) as Xena. Lucy is a large dog, very friendly but on the high end of spirited. Lucy and Xena a friends and beautiful dogs. Thank you for providing us with Xena.

Hi Donna,
I wanted to give you an update on Endless Mt. Goodness Gracious (Grace) from the Millie/Grant 6/6/06 litter (see pictures attached). Grace and I started agility training last year to build our relationship and I had no intention of ever competing, but with encouragement from my instructor, Grace and I have competed in 5 AKC agility trials and Grace has earned Standard Novice, Standard Open and Novice Jumpers titles, and has two legs toward her Open Jumpers title. I can't believe that we will be competing at the Excellent level! At trials you don't tend to see many labradors, so many people have been impressed with Grace and ask where she is from, so I tell them about you. ...I think the Flint River Ranch food is excellent, and am glad that you introduced us to it.
When I picked Grace up from you, I remember Claudia walking around your house and wondered when I would have a dog that acted like Claudia. I think I have her now.
In the next 1-2 years I would like to get another agility Labrador from you.

Donna,

I just wanted to touch base with you with an update about our two year old lab Aspen. She is doing great and is an absolutely fantastic dog. She is sensational in both the home and in the field. That is a rare combination, but she fills both roles spectacularly. When we purchased her from you we had our daughter Kyleigh, who was three at the time, and they became best buds instantly. We have added a second daughter to our family, Peighton. She is now 16 months old, and her first words after Da-da and Mama were Aspen and puppy. Aspen is endlessly patient and truly loves being with the kids.

We have been extremely pleased with her, and hope to add another to the mix in the future. We are looking to move to a larger home with a lot of property in the near future, and shortly thereafter we will begin our search for another pup. We have also recommended you to several people who have been looking for labs including two people that have called on referral from our vet who were looking for outstanding labs that were healthy (our vets quote was that she has million dollar hips) have a great disposition and appearance. Thank you again for a really special member of our family. I have included some recent shots of her.

Maggie is nearly a year old and is the best dog I have EVER had. She has an amazing personality and is a great companion.
I hate to say she is my best friend but at times I think just that. Always by my side at home and great company when I travel to my camp in the Adirondacks. She is so smart and loving. My entire family now understand just what an English lab is all about.

Donna... I want to take this chance to pass on some updated information and pictures of our "Louie" (Stealer/Ladybug)... Well Louie is now 18 months old...he has completed his field training this past summer and two weeks ago his new skills were tested with a duck hunting trip to Santee, Nebraska. I have attached pictures of his trip...to tell you he did wonderful could be a bit understated...he was outstanding!! He not only held his position but retrieved every duck shot!! He exceeded Shane's expectations by leaps and bounds!! For an 18 month old and had never been in the duck boat before he did very well. We can't tell you enough how much Louie means to us and what a happy guy he is! He is always wanting to please and the tail is always going! He is a great companion not only to Shane in the duck boat but can come into the house with the family and be just as wonderful!! By far he has been the easiest puppy to train from the very beginning and continues to be eager to learn anything new!! Thank you Stanley family from the Kendall family of Iowa, again for the dedicated work you continue to do with all the dogs you have placed, you truly have been given a wonderful gift, we look forward to planning another addition to our family, a little sister for Louie, in the near future. Just wanted to give you an update on Amazing Grace (Gracie...Casey/Gabriel)). Last Sat (Nov 1st) when we put her in the car for the trip home, she seemed fine, but as we drove away she howled as we drove through the pine forest. When we reached the main road, she had finished her "goodbye to Endless Mountain" and fell asleep. She was terrific for the 4 1/2 hour ride to central NJ. She was getting restless the last few minutes and assured her she would get to pee REALLY soon. As soon as we got home we took her out to the garden. We may not have mentioned that Lou is a commercial landscaper, so we have a gorgeous garden and none of our dogs has ever been allowed to poop and pee just anywhere. Fourteen years ago Lou built a "sandbox" and Gracie is the 3rd Lab who has learned to poop and pee inside the sandbox. She was taken right to the sandbox and immediately peed. In less than a week she has pretty much gotten the idea and accidents inside the house have been very rare. She's not only beautiful, and smart, she almost trained!!! We were hoping that Gracie and our 2 1/2 yr old cat, Jesse, would get along. Jesse has lived w/a Lab since the day we brought him home when he was about 10 weeks old. He loved Cheyenne and he is missing her as much as we are. On Sat he came nose to nose w/Gracie and since then he's been teasing her and playing w/her and he seems to really like the idea that she's the same size as him!!!! Gracie sleeps in a "baby crate" next to our bed. The first night she howled when we put her in there....for all of 5 min. Then she fell asleep. She awoke every hour or two and whimpered and I softly told her to go back to sleep...AND SHE DID. Lou is up very early each morning and takes her out to her sandbox. She poops, she pees and she's back in the bedroom w/me until I get up, then she follows me as I get ready for the day. All in all she's adjusted extremely well. Donna, We just had to send you a picture of Tater (Misty/Preston 2/1/2007 litter). He is gorgeous, I mean handsome. Now we know what it means when people say a dog completes a family. We love him. He is very spoiled, I mean loved. People stop us all the time to say how beautiful he is and how amazing his coat is. Thank you for being such a great breeder. He is exactly what we wanted. Our Maizey, born July 5, 2007, from the Mackie/Blanche litter is amazing!!!!! I know you hear this all the time, but she is so smart and so beautiful! We live in the country on 20 acres with 3 ponds, so she is loving the water and being out with us playing and hunting. My husband took her dove hunting in Sept. and could not believe her natural instincts. Our lab that passed away earlier this year was a fantistic hunter and we cannot believe how great she already is for only being only one year old. We are so grateful that we heard about Endless Mt. Hey Donna, Just wanted to check in and say HI! Allie (Cocoa/Doc puppy) is doing great! She is going to be two soon, believe it or not, and she surprises me everyday. She has never been professionally trained, she did not need it. She listens to everything I say and stays by my side all the time and she does not even have to go on a leash. Everyone wants to take her home they cannot believe how good she is as well as the most beautiful dog ever. Fortunately I can tell everyone I know first hand this is how all of your dogs are because it is not my first. I hope you are all doing well and I will send pictures soon. Donna I know you get a ton of e-mails but I wanted to share this with you. Maxwell (Preston/Mallory) outstood every puppy in class today, not only did he do what Joe and I asked him, but when I was hand signed him, he was outstanding, no other pup could do that. The trainer was blown away. He is absolutely beautiful, he will have the most blue of the black coats when he is grown, huge teeth :) He has the best face. We definitely plan on showing this show dog. I attached a photo of him and his moo cow and a chew bone being silly that I took last Wednesday. You should see him sitting on my lap going for rides in the truck, what a hoot :) I'm off Friday and weather permitting, he and I are going for a ride with the top down on my XLR, he will be a knock out!!!! Dear Donna, Thank you so much for our Peanut and Brutus (from the Trixie and Romeo Litter). We adore them and as you can see from the picture they get along great! They are both so intelligent, they seem to learn commands without a great deal of effort. Our Vet is so impressed with them, and wanted to know where we got them from, because he could tell that they had come from such a good breeder. Just thought I would send you a few pictures showing how Gracie is doing at her new home in Texas. Plane ride was fine and she is up to date on shots, eating her NuVet every day and already starting on obedience training. I have already taught her sit, down, here and crate. I have also already gotten her comfortable on a leash for walking. She is very smart and our 3 kids LOVE her. Our male English Lab, Garth, is very gentle with her and has adjusted extremely well and I believe is getting a second wind at the age of 12. Anyways, I hope all is well. Hi Donna, Just wanted to share with you a recent photo of our lil guy, Buster, who has doubled in size these last five weeks, and has become the star of our neighborhood here in Manhattan. Passersby are regularly commenting on his wonderful tempermant - a little gentleman with people and dogs of all shapes and sizes. We have Buster on the Flint River Ranch and his Nuvet supplements, both of which he loves. Potty-training has gone swimmingly. Accidents are few and far between (I cannot remember the last one -- and we live on the 7th floor!), and he goes on command just about anywhere along our street or in the park. He has also been very quick to learn the leash, as well as basic sit, stay and shake commands. Buster had his first doggy-paddle in shallow water over Labor Day weekend, and we're taking him back to the beach this weekend. He loves, loves, loves water -- bottles, faucets, the tub, and even dirty city puddles that we do our best to keep him from! Thank you again. Thought you'd might like to see how our guy Tucker George is doing. He has been great learning everything. Crate training was unbelievably simple. He goes to bed at night on his own before we do. ...He loves go on rides, even the 4-wheeler. I have recommended the Flint River Ranch to several friends and they are now using it also. Just to update you, Tubby, a chocolate female from the Martha/Mackie litter is doing great. She excelled in her puppy pre-school class and is now in Puppy Kindergarten and again, is excelling and going beyond every other dog in the class. She picks up commands and general obedience wonderfully. I have already trained her, at 5 months to do double retrieves on land and in fast moving water on the Susquehanna. She is such a strong swimmer. You can tell that the innate sense to retrieve is apparent every time she hits the water.

Tubby has such a great disposition. It is evident that you have a great line of dogs. I am very thankful to have one of your Labs. I will keep you updated. I have attached some pictures of Tubby and her brother Gaylord the bassett hound.

Hi Donna, Jonathan & Olivia, David and I wanted to let you know that our new family member (Mackie/Tina litter) is doing well. Except for potty breaks, he slept all the way home ... a 9-hour drive. He's adjusted to his new home and his crate without any difficulties. I've attached a few pictures: one of the pup with Tina just before we left, one in his sleep position on the ride home, and one displaying his toothy grin. Just wanted you to know that Shaeley earned her Rally Novice title on Friday, August 29, at the Newton, NJ Kennel Club show. Our girl received a 98 out of 100 for a second place. She was tied for first, and in this case, the AKC deems that the judges go to the time clock to determine the winner.
(Shaeley's time was a few seconds slower.)

Additionally, Shaeley turned heads with her outstanding good looks! The Rally judge even complimented Shaeley on her "beautiful face"!

Next step, is to start training for Shaeley's Rally Advanced title. Hope you enjoyed this fantastic Labor Day weekend -- weather was unbelievable!

Hi Donna and Jonathan: Tanner (Trixie/Romeo) loves his new bowls and toys! The ride home was great. He slept most of the way home and all through the night. He loves to go outside and seems to know that's where he needs to go potty. Did you work with him on this? He already knows how to get "a toy" on command and actually did bring it back once. We're on our way to having some real retriever fun with him. He's so smart and only home one day! We love him! Thank you for such a wonderful puppy!

Hi Donna, Just a quick note of thanks and an update on our lil guy. Buster is doing great and we just adore him. He slept 95% of the ride back to NYC on Friday, and when he wasn't sleeping, he was as mellow and easy-going as he was when we first met him. We got up twice with him on Friday night, once on Saturday night and he's been sleeping six-hour nights in the crate since. Phew! The vet did him a clean bill of health yesterday. I can't wait til he has his next vaccinations so that we can take him to Central Park and properly introduce him to our neighbors' dogs. All in all, Buster's been a delight. We so appreciated your perspective on his demeanor -- he is just as you said: loyal, always at your feet, just a cuddlebug. And it's so much fun to watch him develop day by day. This week, we're continuing to focus on his routine and introducing the crate for naps (not just for night time!). Hi Donna, Jonathan and Olivia, We decided to name our little guy Griz Moe. It's in ode to his daddy (Griz) and me being a graduate of the University of Montana Grizzlies! He is doing very well and already has a nickname. Speed Bump...he protested softly whenever we hit a bump in the road on the six hour drive home! We had our visit to the vet and he is just perfect! We wanted to touch base with you and Jonathan to let you know about Roxy (LadyBug/Stealer). I've attached a couple of pics for you to see for yourself how well she's doing.

We absolutely LOVE her however... Roxy is training wonderfully and is so smart. She has slept through the night from the first night on without a peep. Her bedtime is around 7:30 if she's had a really active day and she sleeps til 6-7am...pretty good huh?? She eats like a champ, in fact loves her food and we're having great success in housebreaking her.

Both Frank and I want to thank you for her and please know we'll take good care of her.

Our dog Teddy has been the calmest dog! He turned one on June 5 and we picked him up a year ago on July 27! When ever we are on a walk everyone stops to talk to us about his great head and how black his nose is!
He is very calm and never jumps on anyone...he loves to be with the family and we all treat him as part of the family! He was what we all wanted and wished for and it finally happened! Thanks for giving us a wonderful dog that is calm and what we wanted!

Great news! In spite of the tremendous heat and humidity this weekend, Shaeley earned two legs toward her Rally Novice title!! In addition, on both days, Fri., July 18, and Sat., July 19, Shaeley was awarded fourth place. What a terrific girl! Hopefully, at the end of August, I can get her Rally Novice title at Sussex, NJ. She is also ready to start working in traditional obedience in the Novice ring. Might even give that a whirl at Sussex also. So, now, Shaeley has achieved her CGC, her Therapy Dog certification, and is working toward her first Rally title. I know you are not surprised at her success based on her wonderful lineage.

Hi Donna & Jonathan, We named our Essense/Romeo pup, Little Maggie. She is such a sweetheart. Talk about a laid back Lab, she doesn't even sit to eat, she lays down. She goes right into her crate to take naps and when she wants to go to bed! The 3rd night home and she is already sleeping all night...without a peep(with the help of a big stuffed black lab). Hello Donna and Jonathan, It was really nice to meet you in person and experience the excellent work you are doing with the dogs. Just wanted to give you an update on 'Lucky'. He did really well on the car ride way back home. The only time he barked we stopped the car and let him out and he did his business. He has taken to the crate very well. He whined for a few minutes in the crate and then slept the entire night without a sound (I was prepared for the worst :) ). Of course, I let him out around 2 am (on my own) to do his business, and off he went to sleep in the crate again until morning. As we saw in your house, he just loves sleeping on top of the A/C vent. He has already started attracting a lot of admirers. And whoever sees it just raves about his excellent LOOKS. My wife who was not very keen on getting a dog has become his biggest FAN... she won't leave him alone for a minute. She just adores him. Thanks...      "Franklin" from the June 16th pick up is doing great! He's handsome, smart (house broken and crate trained )and already a natural born swimmer at our summer residence on the lake.

Hi Donna, How are you? I hope all is well. I see you have been busy updating your website, which is why I am emailing. I just wanted to let you know how great it looks. I absolutely love all the new pictures you have added. That was one of the things that drew me to you as a breeder. I just loved to see all the puppy and dog photos. What you see is what you get. I probably look almost daily to see what is new. The new puppy ones are absolutely adorable, and I love them all, but I must say, the one of Anna and "Amy" is my favorite. I just wanted to share with you a quick update on our Endless Mountain chocolate Lab, Grady (Cocoa/Doc Litter November 2005). He instantly became a member of our family. He has grown into an extremely handsome, loving, social, intelligent, healthy and playful dog. We constantly receive compliments on his looks and calmness. He loves people and other dogs.
Grady has provided us with nothing but joy. We love him so much. I have attached a picture of Grady taken recently.

Hi Donna,

About 18 mo. ago we got a puppy from you. We named him Grady. He is from the Ben/Blanche litter of December 2006. I just wanted to let you know how wonderful he is. We are very blessed to have him in our family. He is very loving, friendly, smart, willing to please us, and fun to be around. His personality always shines through. At 5 mo. I took him to a training class to start obedience training and to help socialize him. After that, we joined the club and have competed at club level. His first match at age 11 mo. he finished 4th. The next 2 times we competed he finished 1st in the pre-novice class. We are now ready to compete outside the club in Novice A. Also last month he passed the Canine Good Citizen test. I am estimating he will be a registered therapy dog by the end of July. (Grady will be my 2nd therapy dog.)I just wanted to let you know how wonderful we think he is. I could go on and on about him. I have attached some pictures that were taken recently while our family was hiking on the Appalachian Trail for the weekend. I hope you enjoy them.

I am proud to announce that Fritz received his UDX today!

The best part was that today was his birthday. He turned six years old today.

He is such an awesome dog and works so wonderful for me. I am so glad to have my Fritz as a part of my family.

Fritz is my Novice A dog and for us to have a UDX for his sixth birthday is great.

I want you to know that I am so glad that I got Fritz from you. He has been and will be everything and more for me. We have such a bond between us and he loves working for me.

I think we will pursue another avenue with Fritz now, not quite sure what yet. He loves swimming and jumping off docks so maybe we will try “Dock Dogs” with him.

Hello Donna,

I don’t know if you remember us but we bought our Hank from you in 2006. He is a Preston/Sasha boy. I saw you at Potomac in 2007 where he took 1st in sweeps. You told me then that he would really fill out his second year and while I believed you, I didn’t know how much. He has turned into an absolutely beautiful dog. Everyone always comments on how gorgeous he is and how he is a gentle giant.

We are starting to have his clearances done because I am interested in breeding. I am working at a veterinarian referral hospital and boarding facility and have access to state of the art health care for him. I was wondering if you ever use your puppies that are not owned by you for stud. I would love for you to look at him and if for nothing else, just give me your opinion. I know breeding is a big responsibility and it would be nice to have a “mentor” that I trust.

Out of all the dogs I have seen and researched, I still love your dogs the most.

We wanted to share how wonderful McFadden is doing (from Isabel Mackie)!!! We love him and he's just great. He is growing fast every day. He is very smart, he learned to ring his bell when he wants to go out within one day! He already knows how to heel, lie down, give a high five, sit, etc.

We get compliments constantly about how cute he is, how well behaved, and how shiny his coat is. Tonight is his last obedience class and we expect him to walk out of there with a gold star ;-)

He is such a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you thank you thank you for breeding such wonderful dogs.

Hi Donna, I, like many others, visit your website every now and then to check on news and puppies. What a surprise to see the photo from the movie of Marley and Me! It never occurred to me that since Endless Mountains Labradors is mentioned in the book, this would include the movie too! It is so cool! How very exciting! Is that really one of your puppies in the photo with Owen? Which litter are the puppies from? Our Sandpiper is a joy! Honestly, when I read your story about the Lab picking up the laundry, I really couldn't believe it. A couple of weeks ago on a very cold Sunday, too cold to go out for the morning paper, I sent my husband out to get the paper, with Sandpiper following right behind him to explore the front yard. Before he picked up the newspaper, I asked Jim to see if Sandpiper would get the paper, since I had been thinking and reading in the dog books on how to teach your dog this very difficult trick, as many dogs simply cannot learn this one. Jim said, "Sandpiper get the paper" and Piper stopped sniffing the grass, turned around, walked over and picked up the paper, then brought it directly to me into the house! We both stood there with our mouths open in disbelief! Piper has been happily getting the newspaper for us everyday since and seems to love to do this. We never had to teach her! I know you must hear these stories all the time, but it is a new experience for us to have such an intelligent puppy, even though she is approaching her first birthday May 2! I just had to share. Dear Donna .. Just want to tell you the (short) story of Duncan - our 'natural born' little fella (Doc puppy). Yesterday I opened our deck door to let he and Chip out. I have a bird feeder on our deck railing. MOST birds fly away (taking off UPWARD!). A fairly young black bird took off about 4 feet off the ground (parallel to it) and Duncan did his usual "take off" jump to the yard, (he looks as if he's diving) and GRABBED THE BIRD OUT OF THE AIR!!!!!!!!! OH - I was MORTIFIED, yet I KNOW that they are 'retrievers'. Well - to my absolute amazement ... this year and a half old boy who hasn't had a SECOND of retriever field instruction, GOT the bird and EVER SO GENTLY carried it around. Now - he did NOT bring it to me ... but I NEVER CEASE TO BE AMAZED at his 'instinctual' reactions - his 'soft mouth' and his gentleness. Just wanted to share this with you and the others who may read it - your dogs are absolutely EVERYTHING that you describe them as. Thanks so much Sue

Hi Donna, How are you? I hope you and your family are doing well. I wanted to give you an update on my Macie (Macy/Stealer 12/25/07). She is doing so well. She will be 15 weeks tomorrow. On her last trip to the vet's, she was 26 lbs, which was 12 days ago. I am sure she is pushing 30 lbs now, if she isn't more already. They grow so fast. I took these pictures today. As you can see, she is such a little beauty. I wish I had such a nice profile. Ha ha. I can't imagine you ever get tired of hearing this, so here it is again. Thank you so much for such a great puppy. She truly is the best puppy I have ever had the pleasure of owning...hopefully my other dog isn't reading this right now! Her ability to learn things is amazing. I don't think I have ever housebroken a puppy so quickly either. Anyway, thank you again. Words cannot express how happy we are here with her. I think I mentioned this in my last email too, but it is worth repeating. Our other dog, Daisy, who is 8, is youthful once again. Not that she has much choice in the matter...Macie never gives her a moments peace. LOL. I so wish in the worst way I was ready for another dog. You'd find me on your doorstep. They simply are the best. They have it all, from their stunning looks to their awesome temperament and trainability. What a complete package! Dear Jonathan and Donna Stanley,

We are so happy that we bought a lab of you. Our big boy Winston (Doc/ Maribelle litter) is the most beautiful sweet natured dog we have ever known, and seen. As being a family whom walks dogs at the SPCA, his temperment is amazing compared to the other dogs. It is everything he wanted and beyond. Every time we walk Winston in the parks and lakes, we get sooooo many compliments from everyone.. for example " Wow he is just gorgeous!! and ... What an amazing coat on him!... and... What a husky boy!... and the ever popular... Are you sure he is a puppy?" When we got Winston, we thought he would be an outdoor dog, WELL that changed from he day we got him. He is 80% indoor dog :P He is on our couches(accually when we were typing this letter, he was on the couch watching the screen).. the leather ones also... he is sleeping on the beds... starting at us in the kitchen and many more.

We just love him to death, he was worth every penny. You truly deserve a huge thank you for your time and effort put into your breeding. Your knowledge and experience is all in the lab we have. It's been a while since I've sent an e-mail, and its hard to believe that our Duchess (Doc/Martha litter) will be 4 this November! She is truly a blessing and we love her more and more each day. Since Rob travels so much for work, she is my constant companion and goes everywhere with me. She has been a joy to have from day one and we get constant compliments from everyone about her looks and awesome temperament.
I have a MUCH younger sister, and Duchess turned my very-afraid-of-dogs 7 year old sister into a dog lover. She was scared to death of her, but within an hour they were rolling around on the floor together. Duchess is so wonderful and gentle will all children big and small, and enjoys whenever our friends with children visit.
She enjoys relaxing on the couch, and doesn't miss a night of sleep in bed. She's my favorite snuggle buddy. We can't wait until we will be ready to get another Endless Mountain Labby sister for Duchess, and I recommend you to everyone I know. Dear Donna and Family, I wanted to give you and update on our Macy/Stealer puppy my husband and I picked up on Feb. 15th. If you remember, Donna, we mentioned wanting to name her Maui, but that just didn't stick. My husband and I both kept calling her "Macy." Well, we just ended up going with that. I hope you don't mind we stole your name, but we did change the spelling (Macie). Macie is so wonderful. As of this past Wednesday, she is up to 17 lbs already. She is my little porker. Everyone just loves her. If you remember me telling you our veterinarian loves this breed and owns some herself. Well, anyway, she can't stop saying how beautiful Macie is. She loves her head! She knew who Baker was right away too. It has been 3 weeks now since we have had her in our lives and don't know how we got along without her. I was worried about bringing a new puppy home, as it had been over 8 years since I had a puppy. My fears were short lived though, as she adapted so quickly. She took to her crate immediately and slept all night long the very first night! I couldn't believe it. Not a peep out of her. I am just so thrilled on so many levels. You really deserve a huge thank you for your time and effort put into your breeding. Your knowledge and experience is evident in the puppy we have. She truly is outstanding. She has such an eagerness to learn and please, it is amazing. She already goes to the door to go outside too, which I find phenomenal for a 10 week old puppy. I also just wanted to mention that she has also brought "life" back to our other dog, who is 8 y. o. Since we lost our other dog before Christmas, she sort of just laid around all the time, but now she acts like a puppy herself. I could just sit and watch the 2 of them play all day. Seriously, thank you once again for allowing us to have one of your little girls. I know it's been a long time. I hope you and your family are well!

I thought you may be interested in seeing how Oliver has grown! Unfortunately, we don't have a great camera, so these pictures do not give him full justice of how strikingly handsome he is - you were right!

I can't tell you how many compliments we get on him, such as "WOW, he's gorgeous, WOW that's a good looking lab, he's absolutely beautiful, look at that head, that's a happy dog, he's smart, he's so friendly", and on and on.

Our neighbors who are dog lovers and especially biased to labs are IN LOVE with Oliver. As a family, they call us to take him for walks, they just love spending time with him.

Hi to the Stanleys and thanks so much for our wonderful puppies, now 8 months old, Ricky and Lucy. We couldn't be more happy with these two wonderful dogs. Everywhere we go, people comment on how beautiful they are and how well behaved. They have quickly picked up a number of tricks and love to show off for everyone. Their tracking ability is also amazing, easily following deer trails and raising birds from the area fields. They love our latest exercise strategy which is to harness them to the front of my mountain bike and allow them to pull me around our local park on the jogging and bike trail. They are quickly learning voice commands for right and left although whoa isn't coming quite so easily. Below are pictures my daughter took of them for Christmas.

Dear Donna, I am so happy that I wanted to write to you and let you know that Ranger (and I!) passed Basic Obedience Training last night. He passed with flying colors and was told by one of the trainers that he is "brilliant"! He is bathed in compliments everywhere we go, whether it's on his gorgeous coat or his wonderful demeanor! He is a shining star for us and we love him to pieces. Because my husband is up and out before I am even awake, we usually call one another each morning just to touch base about the day ahead, etc. We ALWAYS talk about Ranger and what he did last night or that morning. Just wanted to let you know Halle is doing great. We are all in love with her. She has such a great personality! She has done well with her crate and doing well with the potty training....
She just went to the vet and had a great check -up. No worms or parasites. She is eating well and seems very comfortable here....

Hi Donna! I just wanted to give you a quick update on Linus..he is doing great!!! He amazes my husband and me everyday with how smart he is at only 11 weeks. He knows to go to the back door when he has "to go", and has taken to the crate really well. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to be nosey-he has to see what everyone else is doing! Linus seems to be the most content in our family room, laying at our feet, playing with one of his toys. He is too sweet for words- he is just pure joy! We are so happy with how well he has adjusted to our home! I will send you some pictures of him so you can see how beautifully he is progressing. Thank you for providing us with Linus! It’s hard to believe it has been one year since we’ve brought home Cash (Lollipop/Griz Sept. 2006 litter). I keep saying we should have named him Clifford, The Big Red Dog…because he keeps growing & growing & growing! He certainly doesn’t look like that itty bitty puppy we brought home. But he is just an absolutely sweet, wonderful big ole baby doll! He has been a tremendous joy to have around: everybody loves him and he loves everybody. We could not be more pleased!

Throughout this past year we have received compliment after compliment on everything about him: his temperament, how smart he is and how gorgeous his coat is…he is as soft now as the day we brought him home. Most folks are shocked when we say he just turned one year old, because he is so laid-back…he is even gentle with our guinea pig!

All the horror stories you hear about some Labs is certainly the complete opposite of our experience with Cash. He has NEVER chewed up or destroyed one thing in our house. He was completely housebroken within 2 weeks. He never leaves the yard or runs away from us. He has never dug up our yard or my flower gardens. He listens to our children just as well as he listens to us. Training was a breeze!Cash loves to play fetch, chew sticks, and play hide-n-seek with the kids. He loves to go for walks; he is a water freak and he is also completely happy to lay at our feet and sleep! All things a lab should be.

I want to share a few “smart” dog stories about Cash: he learned to get the newspaper from the front lawn and bring it inside with only 2 times of trying! He has his own trampoline that he stands or lays on when the kids are jumping on theirs (I’m waiting one day to look and see him jumping, I really am!) He knows how to "doggie" hula hoop, do somersaults and he plays wiffleball…both fielding and batting! Wish I could include a video to share, you have to see it to believe it! I know that Cash truly thinks he is one of the kids: one day they were acting up and I called them into the room. They all came, dog included. Lined up to listen, and Cash sat there right in-line with the kids, waiting to hear the “behave yourselves” speech from Mom…too funny!!

As you can tell by this long letter…we are soooo proud of Cash and we love him very much! We look forward to many more years with this incredible guy and feel we are truly blessed to have such an amazing pet!

Lots of luck in your upcoming move, your new home looks beautiful. I am happy for you to have a new kennel in which you can continue raising this awesome breed!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, human and canine!
I just wanted to give you an update on Cooper (Liberty/Doc - 5/2007). We attended our second show this past weekend in Syracuse, and competed in Rally Novice and Obedience Novice. Cooper did great, and now has two legs on his Rally Novice, and one on his Obedience Novice. He definitely prefers Rally - it's more fun and interesting! He qualified in Obedience, despite the fact that he saw a big bug on the floor during the free heeling, which was certainly much more interesting than anything I had to offer! I looked down and he was WAY back there, staring that bug down, as if to say, "Don't worry, Mom. Go get the paper towel to squish him! I'll watch him and see where he goes!" Silly dog. He was so intent on that bug. Don't anybody worry - he had it covered! I was hysterical! He even cultivated his own fan club, of sorts, who admired him and cheered him as he scored a 94 in Rally!
Congratulations on Romeo's success in Syracuse! I am sorry that the breed competition conflicted with the obedience competition. I did not get to see him either day. We were only there Saturday and Sunday.
So, in a few months, I imagine this Endless Mtn. boy will ultimately earn his CD and RN, in addition to his CGC. This is my first experience in the competition arena, and it is amazing to look back and see how we got here. I have many people to thank, and you are one of them. We are so thankful for Cooper. He is a blessing for me and my family.
Wherever our journey leads us from here, we are thankful for you and the dogs you breed.

Dear all:

Another "smart dog" story for you....I place my 1 yr old Sylvie(Doc/Claudia) this week with a family friend, who has 9 kids. She told me almost a year ago she wanted an older retired dog from me if I ever had a black female...well, I kept it in the back of my mind, then when the time came, I knew Sylvie was "the one" (after passing over a couple I could have given her)...so this dogs goes home with them, never housetrained, lives in their house, all the little kids use her as a pillow while watching movies at night, and Sue said to Sylvie (jokingly one night, something to the effect of...), "you know, with all the children in this house...it would be nice to have a dog who picks up all the dirty clothes on the floor and puts them in the laundry basket..."
( you know what I'm going to tell you, don't you?) she walked RIGHT over, and started doing it right away, she's been doing it ever since...I get goose bumps telling the story. Can you believe it???? ( I got this story second hand from her sister in law, so when I get it in HER WORDS I will re-post this!)

Hi Donna, I just wanted to give you a quick update on "Gracie" (Liberty/Griz 7/15/07). She is truly the sweetest puppy anyone has ever met. People cannot get over how calm and well behaved she is. Our two children Emma (almost 4 years old) and Jack (almost 2 years old) are completely in love with her and I am happy to report that I have proven wrong EVERYONE who told me not to get a puppy. She is best friends with the lab next door (also an Endless Mountain dog) and everyone who meets her loves her. Thankyou so much for breeding such beautiful and intelligent dogs. Gracie's vet was so impressed with her that she gave your name to a friend who had just lost his beloved lab - she was sure that he would want another dog once he took a look at your website. Sure enough, she told me that he is waiting for a pup from one of the December litters! We hope all is well with you and your family. We love having Gracie as a part of our family! Hi Donna - Just wanted to drop you an update on Zoe. Thank you for putting our story up about Zoe saving us from being hit by a car. I also wanted to let you know that Zoe has now become a therapy dog for one of the local animal shelters that I volunteer for. I was told that Zoe had the right personality for therapy work but that she had to do a three month course in preparation of the certification. Since she had already completed two obedience courses I thought putting her through another so quickly (she was only two at the time) might be too much for her. A good friend of mine has a golden retriever who does therapy work so she showed me what Zoe needed to know for the test. I kid you not when I tell you that I showed Zoe on only three occasions and she passed the certification with flying colors. HOW SMART IS THAT!!!!!!! We now spend a lot of our time visiting hospitals, nursing homes and elementary schools. She brings so much joy to these people and will actually get in bed and lay with them if they are to sick to sit up to see her. She continues to amaze us in every way and as I look at her now laying in front of the fire ( her favorite place ), I wonder how we ever existed without her in our lives. Hi !!! Just a note to let we made it home fine, only one pit stop, otherwise she just napped the whole time. When we got home we kept her outside to play for a while and when she came in we put her down on the kitchen floor and she wandered right into her crate, which was filled with fuzziness and passed out! Hi! Just thought I'd send you an update on our little Hallie. She is doing great. Probably weighs about 30 lbs now. She is fully trained and has adapted to our home and to our other dog wonderfully. In fact they are the best of friends and sleep side by side. She has been such a joy to have. She is so smart and trained so easily. You certainly know how to breed excellent dogs. We get so many compliments on her good looks.

Donna, I just wanted to say hello and let you know that Big Papi is doing great. He is the sweetest dog and I am so in love with him already!!! I haven't forgotten to get you some pictures...my husband has some on his digital camera (which unfortunately I don't know how to use), and I promise when I get them I will send them on to you. You will also be glad to know that I have decided to keep him on the Flint River Ranch food, rather than switch over to Royal Canin. I truly believe that FRR is the best for him. ... I also wanted to tell you that everywhere we go (Big Papi and I) Big Papi gets compliments ALL the time on what a beautiful dog he his, especially when we go to the pet store for toys 8o). He truly is a gift from God and is such a blessing to me. I am still hoping to get him a little brother sometime next summer/early fall. I will be sure to let you know when I'm ready!

She is going to the door now when she needs to go out (started after two weeks), she is sleeping through the night(started after a week and a half), she knows the command "sit" and she knows how to chew on all of us very well! Hi Donna – happy Thursday!

Just wanted to touch base and let you know that sweet Bella (Bella Moose as we call her from Doc/Martha) is doing awesome! She loves to swim and puts her whole head under water when retrieving her toys. J She will be 2 in November, which is hard to believe. We can’t imagine life without her. My grandmother passed away last week and Bella has provided such comfort. She is always by our side with kisses and unconditional love. She thinks she is a lap dog (at 72 pounds) and loves to lay on our laps and after a few minutes of scratches, she rolls over on her back and puts her paws up on our shoulders so we have complete access to her belly. She is so precious.
Oh and I will have to send you a picture of her in the bathtub. We have those metal tubs out in the backyard that we fill up with water. She gets in the tub and curls up in a little ball, puts her whole head under water, then sits her head on the side of the tub when we are out working in the yard – it is hysterical!!!!
There is nothing like a lab!! Hope you and your family are well. I’m sure you are getting ready for the big move at the end of the year. You all are in my prayers. Thank you again for the beautiful blessing you provided our family.

Attached are three recent pictures of Shaeley/Sweet Pea. Today, we had her swimming in the Delaware River practicing her retrieving for her first goose hunting season, which opens this weekend. She loves retrieving the orange dummy, and hopefully will transfer this concept to a live goose when the situation arises! My husband has also been using a goose wing in their backyard practice sessions to give her the feel of the "real" thing. (As you have stated, "why hunt with an ugly lab!" Any one can see from the pictures, Shaeley is so beautiful!))
Shaeley and I are still involved in our obedience training classes. She is not quite ready to go off-lead successfully yet, so we will not be entering in any Novice obedience competitions in the early Fall. She is, however, ready to try some Match Shows at the Novice level just to get the ring experience. We have also trained in AKC "Rally" this summer. She enjoyed this training since it is less rigid than traditional obedience, and she liked the verbal encouragement permitted at this level. Our girl is one busy dog!

Hi Donna,

We wanted to give you a one week update on little Sasha. She's doing wonderful and everyday she amazes me more. She's already mastered sit, going upstairs and going down a couple of stairs. She sleeps through the night if we put a blanket over the crate. I'm talking about 8 hours. During the day she naps either in her crate or on the kitchen floor. We took her to a softball tournament today and no lie we got approached by at least 20 people who absolutely love her. I was asked by several where I got her and of course I told them Endless Mtn. Labs in PA. We were even asked if she was for sale and the answer was NO. We were even told we should consider showing her because of her walk and looks. You truly do a wonderful job on your breeding and we are blessed that we found you..... It really doesn't matter what color they're, you have a wonderful temperment in all of your dogs. Dori does have one question for you. She wants to know at what age can you show them and how much obedience do they have to have at that point? Thanks again, Dianne and Dori 09/15/07

Donna, Cooper will be in his first AKC Obedience Trial on 9/15. We will probably NQ, because I will be handling him. I have no idea what I am doing. He does great with our instructor, though! She says I love him too much. Whatever. I had to go to a class by myself and leave Cooper home, and handle her German Shepard so I could learn what I am doing wrong. She told me after and hour and a half that he was Schutzhund trained. I do things on a need to know basis. Good I didn't know that until we were finished! He's a nice dog. Very smart. My trainer kept saying, "He's smart like Cooper!" So, we will try at Novice A, and see where we go from here. Cooper loves to work and do new things. I've considered trying to train him to track if we don't do well in obedience. He loves to learn, do new things, go new places, and meet new people. He's a thinking dog. He'll do anything I ask two or three times, but after that, it's like pulling teeth. He just doesn't see any point in it. And you know, he may be right. I think he cooperates just to humor me. That's why I think he would like tracking. I don't hunt so that's not an option. I still hope to get a show quality female pup one of these days. I really like the Dickendall and DJ lines, and am watching those. Also a fan of big fan of Doc and Dreams, naturally, AND Mallory and Mackey. Labs - what a wonderful adventure! And, also, I read the part of your website about dogs going to heaven. It touched me deeply. I KNOW that our dogs go to heaven. I believe that God is a loving God. He would not give us the love we share with our dogs and never allow us to be with them again. I think I emailed you about the loss of my sister, and how I found my way to you, and then to Cooper. I have since lost my dad. I know our families, including our beloved dogs, go to Heaven. And we will be with them again. Cats I'm not sure about because I never had one! Hi Donna, It's been a year since we've brought "Endless Trouble" - aka "Trouble" home and he is such a wonderful dog! I was just browsing these old pics of him and I can't believe he was ever this small! We wanted to say thank you again for such a wonderful addition to our family! He is such a handsome, loving dog with a great personality! My favorite quality about him is the fact that he is always at our feet! Whenever I put down his food, he would rather have a few extra scratches versus eating - it melts my heart! Our other dog (Bandit, Cocker Spaniel) - prefers to chomp down so this just sums up his personality! He gets good exercise outside but honestly, he is happiest with us - whether by our feed or on a nice walk. In addition, we are adding a little girl to our family - due Christmas - and our son is 3 so we're very excited! Donna, Well, Keira has been a part of our family for one month now. She's livened up the place, to be sure, and has added so much laughter and love! She slept most of the way back to Erie in the car, with no accidents. She took to the crate the first night without any problems and slept soundly in between potty breaks, which she would signal with a short bark. She has been sleeping through the night for the past two weeks. She was completely house trained in two weeks and only has accidents now when she gets too excited, as puppies sometimes do. I'm training her to ring a set of chimes hung over the outside door knob to let us know when she needs to go out. She's doing it pretty consistently now, after only a week. She's mastered "sit", leash length "stay", fetch and she walks next to me or behind me during our walks. She's definitely the most intelligent puppy I've ever had - she picks up things very quickly. I've read both of the "monks" books and have been watching Cesar Milan regularly. The information has been so helpful. It's taken a while for "the pack" (my other two labs and Keira) to settle in and get the pecking order straight, but it's calmed down alot. Keira sometimes tries to act dominant, but my other two are pretty assertive with her and things are much more stable. aI'm so glad I have her and I want to thank you for raising such loving and intelligent pups. When she runs to me with her ears back, flapping in the wind, with that puppy "smile", my heart just melts! She had her first vet visit a little over a week ago and everything looks great. Out "little guy" slept most of the way and in my lap the whole time...we really bonded. I just wanted to thank you, again, for all that you have done. Hey, Donna and Jonathan! Monday marked one year since we drove from VA toget our two lab puppies from you, Peaches and Grady. We took them swimming on Sunday, which they love, and I finally took my camera. I know you get tons of pictures from proud families, but if you have the time, I'd love for you to take a peak at how they have grown. I sent 7 pictures because I couldn't make up my mind (I hope you can pull them up...it's a new program for us)...I figure I should get to send twice as many as everyone else since we got two dogs! :o) The last photo is pretty funny because you would think Grady would have gone after the ducks, but all he cared about was the tennis ball. They keep us laughing and we truly love them! Hope you enjoy the pictures! Grady was from Doc and Blanche…don’t the eyes give it away?? :o) And Peaches was from Millie and Grant (I think I remember you telling us that Millie was pretty large). Grady last weighed in at 85 pounds and Peaches was 70 pounds (about a month ago). And just so you know, I cannot stress enough how loved these dogs are…I wish we were closer so you could see them play together. They are quite spoiled…they have a great life (peace of mind for a breeder, too, I suppose) :o)

I can't remember if I sent this picture to you so thought I would now. Snickers (Martha/Doc) and Buddy (Trixie and Griz) are 2 of the best dogs I have ever owned!!! Snickers was alittle jealous at first but within 2 days she accepted The Budster!!! As you can see they are best buddies and have so much fun together. They make us laugh everyday.

I have started taking them to visit my Dad who is in a home for Alzheimer patients and they are so good and all the residents love them. Neither dog has had special training in therapy but boy you would be impressed at how sweet they are with the patients.

Hi! Rich and I bought a home in Ocean City NJ. It is a very friendly town especially for dogs
and especially for Labs.... House has a nice yard and their are
oodles of people who admire Tasha. She is one beautiful pup as everyone tells me. I will
forward pics soon. She is very bright and she actually saved me from low sugars (I'm diabetic)
when I was ill by grabbing me and pulling me upright from the couch where I had collapsed.
She then proceeded to lick me and when she wasn't happy with the response she drank a
bowl of water and proceeded to spit it on me! I came around and was able to grab some
glucose tabs and that brought me around enough until Rich came home. What a dog!!

We treat "Gracie" like a child and quite frankly our king size bed is not big enough. HA HA We will be in touch when we decide to increase our family. Your dogs are just wonderful, I am a hairstylist and work out of my home . So Gracie spends her days being a "Shop Girl" as we call it .She moves from person to person laying ON their feet while they are getting their service done. If some one is sick or hurting from a injury ,I swear she senses there pain and is extra loving towards them.
I feel she is a blessing to all the ladies who come daily and just love her to pieces. ( I get lots of ,where did you get such a well behaved dog?) I tell them Endless Mountains Labs!.
She really is just so wonderful, and I thank you for raising such great dogs.

Dear Donna, Our apologies for not sending you any news sooner, but I've finally gotten the chance to write you with praises for our pup! (Tucker) He slept for (pretty much) the whole 5 hour ride home, with some pit stops along the way, of course, but never whined or cried for his litter mates as he was content on my lap. He was a bundle of joy from the time we picked him up! He had plenty of socialization during baseball season and was greeted by young and old. We taught him right away not to jump, since we know how big he will be. We participated in puppy kindergarten classes and he was a star! Of course, I had baseball almost every day and trained with him at the field, so he had plenty of practice and socialization. He loved water from the time that he first saw our pond and brook and LOVES food:) Many people who have not seen the English Labs make little comments about his stockiness, but the vet assures us that it's his proper build. Thank you so much for your "truth in advertising"! Everywhere we go, no one can resist Tucker because he is so beautiful and so friendly and kind. When we went away on vacation we had a dog trainer house sit for us and Tucker participated in a lot of classes with her. She told her other clients that "this is how a puppy should be" and that we were doing everything right...I know that it all starts with the breeding! She and the other trainer that we take classes from agree that Tucker is a very special puppy. During a socialization class, there was a puppy that was shy and no one else would play with him. Tucker went over and made friends and got the puppy to play. ( I joked, saying that that was how I raised my "kids.") Honestly, he is such a great dog that it makes me leery to think about getting another one in the Spring; if all goes well, we'd love to get a yellow. Our dog sitter said to DEFINITELY go to the same breeder, and there is no doubt that we will! When I get a chance, I'll send some pictures to you so that you can see how much Tucker looks like his daddy, or at least I think he does.                   you a line and bring you up to date on our Louie. 
                  It is hard to believe he has been with us 19 days
                  already.  He is an amazingly smart puppy!!
                    House training is near completed - never have we had
                    that with a puppy of only 9 weeks of age! He
                  understands when we ask him to stop, we are working on
                  sit, he loves to play fetch with his ball and is
                  returning and giving (lasts about 10-15 throws then
                  looses interest heheehee)for
                  his age thats pretty good! We have not had him in the
                  lake yet - but he decided to put himself in the kids
                  pool (many times) so we don't think water will be a
                  problem!!           
                
                He gets to come to work with me
                  everyday - we don't use the crate but only at night
                  and naps at home - here at work he has taken to
                    under my desk as his nap area!! He is so good with new
                    people - he is our little greeter and sooo polite.           
                
                I just have to tell you keep up the
                  good work - we are seeing the perfection in your
                  breeding at such an early age and what a fun &
                  loving puppy Louie is that we know he will be a great
                  adult dog.  Even our vet has made a few comments
                  on his temperment and behavior, and he is never in
                  trouble - the 3 year old is in more trouble than

          on Maddie (puppy of Trixie and Griz) and let you know how
          happy we are with her. She has been such a joy to have as
            part of our family.  She loves to go for hikes and
          has even started running with us in the mornings. We take
          her swimming as much as possible and she loves it.
          
She
          adores other dogs and people and gets along very well
            with children. All of our friends and family are so
            impressed with how well behaved she is. I can’t tell you
            how many times people have commented on how calm and
            pleasant she is (they also comment on how pretty she is). We
            have friends with Labs who bark incessantly and jump all

            began barking and scratching at the car window, so I told
            my daughter to stop quick at the next exit and we found a
            grassy spot to see if the puppy needed a potty break. Sure
            enough, that is what she did! I could hardly believe it.
            She is a sweetheart.  We are still working on a name

Hi Jonathan and Donna,

          I just wanted to email you and let you know how absolutely in love we

          are with our little Roxy. She just recently started puppy training and is by

          far the smartest pup in the class. She is very well behaved and full of love

          and energy. She’s been great with kids and strangers, we couldn’t have asked

          for anything more. I can’t even tell you how hard it is to walk her in public

          because people stop us constantly to comment  on how amazingly beautiful she is

            … “perfect lab” is the most common term used. Our neighbors actually have two

          yellow labs and Roxy goes over for play dates just about every day for an hour

          or so. She also recently started swimming, and it’s now hard to keep her out

          of the water! Just wanted to say thank you for supplying us with such a

          wonderful part of our family! We definitely will be coming to you to get her a

          friend to play with some time in the future… attached are some pictures of her

          Dear Donna ..

            

            Just want to tell you the (short) story of Duncan - our 'natural born' little fella (Doc and
            Chessie pup).

            Yesterday I opened our deck door to let he and Chip out.  I have a bird feeder on our deck railing.  MOST birds fly away (taking off UPWARD!).  A fairly young black bird took off about 4 feet off the ground (parallel to it) and Duncan did his usual "take off" jump to the yard, (he looks as if he's diving) and GRABBED THE BIRD OUT OF THE AIR!!!!!!!!!  OH - I was MORTIFIED, yet I KNOW that they are 'retrievers'.  Well - to my absolute amazement ... this year and a half old boy who hasn't had a SECOND of retriever field instruction, GOT the bird and EVER SO GENTLY carried it around.  Now - he did NOT bring it to me ... but I NEVER CEASE TO BE AMAZED at his 'instinctual' reactions - his 'soft mouth' and his gentleness. 

            

            Just wanted to share this with you and the others who may read it - your dogs are absolutely
             EVERYTHING that you describe them as.

          ISadie is really a wonderful dog- all that we could
            have hoped for. She is so friendly, gentle and truly
            affectionate. People continually stop us on  the
            street here in Chappaqua to tell us how beautiful she
            is . We tell them its all genetics, from EM Labs!! She is
            such a smart dog and now sleeps every night with our
          12 yr old son, Josh. She has become our third child who
          goes every where with us. She is in the middle of
          everything, be it in the kitchen or just watching TV with
          the family. She was from the litter of Trixie/Griz
          -Oct.19, 2005. She has such a classic Lab face and temperament
          ... We now realize how right you are when you discuss
            how important genetics and good breeding is . She is

            is absolutely BEAUTIFUL - and he is one of the lights of

            is quite laid back also helps, but Duncan is absolutely

Hi Donna, Coleen Lawrenzi here...I have a
          few questions about Mocha Karma/Doc liter. We were at the
          vets yestrday and I wanted you to know that she is 70lbs.
          and super healthy....I scheduled her to have her pen hips
          done an the 24th of April...She will be 18mo.s old....I
          wanted to know if you would be interested in using one of
          your stud dogs....I really trust you and your breeding
          ethics and don't want to look elsewhere for a stud dog that
          I am not familar with and also do not trust.....I would like
          to carry on the excellent genes that I have now..I DO NOT
          want to breed anything but the best...health, temperment,etc.....Mocha
          is the total lab, she is confident,smart and of course very
          good looking...ALWAYS getting compliments on the looks..Also,
          she loves to work...We got her CGC in January..And
            started with getting her titled in obedience...Classes are
            going great.....also dabbling with doggie dancing just to
            break up the training ,it's fun for her and me....She loves
            to learn new things...she's good at doing ta da.....(bowing).Anyway

          As you probably know, Shaeley/SP, just celebrated her first
          birthday on Feb. 28.  She is such a terrific dog!!! 
          We love her intelligence and her overall reaction to the
          world in general.  What a delight it is to come home to
          her at the end of each school day!

           

          Just finished our Pre-Novice/Novice obedience class. 
            She is so sharp!  We are signed up to take the
          Novice class starting next week.  I have decided to
          skip doing AKC Rally with her and go for a CD (companion
            Dog title).  Hopefully, we can be ready for an
          attempt at a first leg in late summer, early fall. 
          Will continue taking the obedience classes with Shaeley to
          get her ready for this goal.   I've also contacted
          Diane Bauman, obedience trainer guru, author, to give us a
          private lesson in April.  Diane had a dog obedience
          training school in Northern New Jersey about 20 years ago
          where I had my first contact with obedience training. 
          She helped me get a CD on my first dog, a field English
          Spring Spaniel.  I am truly excited to meet up with her
          again in April.

           

          As you can see, we are busy with our girl.  Couldn't
            imagine our lives without her!

            instead of a yellow one!  Gulliver is just
            wonderful--beautiful, excellent temperament and loves to
            be around us all the time. He'd great with our 4
            year-old son and the two have become fast friends,
            although Gulliver does love his socks.  He was housebroken
              right away and is an excellent walker.  Our neighbors
              have commented about his good manners--we know it's
              because he wants to do anything he can to please us and
              make us happy!  He's a wonderful puppy and

My husband & I got a puppy from the Trixie/Griz litter in Aug.2006 (he was the grunter & groaner) & we named him
          Howi. He has such a personality & we love him like a child.  I've read the stories of the car rides home and have to say - our drive was about 11 hours and he did
            excellent, once the a/c was pointed on him he slept most of the ride.  He now looks forward to getting in the car everyday.  He was sleeping through the night after just 3 days & house trained in about 1 week.  We immediately started taking him with us to car shows, fairs, parks, etc. to get him used to people.  He did better than expected at such a young age & now comes with me to work everyday, he has become our store mascot.  People are always complimenting on his appearance & temperament.  Also they often comment on how soft he is, I attribute that to good breeding, the food & NuVet you
              suggested.  He posed so well for the Christmas picture that we used it for our billboard and newspaper ads at work.  Howi now has fans that come in just to visit and see how big he is getting.  We enjoy him so much that we are considering getting him a girlfriend to add to the family very soon.

As for our newest family member.....Sally is 8 1/2 months

          First, we would love to thank you for our wonderful puppy.  He
          is such an amazing, beautiful dog.  He is 12 weeks old
          and is an absolute joy.  He makes my husband and I
            so happy.  We picked him up on August 12th, 2006. 
          We get so many compliments from people when they see him.  His
            calm temperament,
            beautiful colors (neat orangish,
          reddish yellow), adorable face, and his love for children
          will be really nice when we decide to have children. 
          My husband and I are so happy with Junior (that's his name)
          that we are interested in getting another puppy.  We
          originally wanted to get two puppies but figured it would be
          a lot of work.  However, Junior is such a good puppy

          quick update on our sweet puppy George (from Tiffany/Preston's
          litter) that we got from you this past March. 
          He is doing wonderful and already weighs in at 70lbs at
            8 months old!  He is a very strong and healthy
          little guy and has a wonderful spirit and zest for life. 
          He loves to explore and meet new friends, and is known by
          name to many of the people in our neighborhood. 
            He has been an absolute joy since the day we brought him
            home, and we couldn't imagine our lives without him.  He comes with us almost everywhere we go and I have
          even had to give up the passenger seat in our truck so
          that he can sit there and look out the window!  Because
          George is such a great dog, we are considering adopting a
          "sister" for him from you this winter because we
          love him so much and would love to bring another one of
          your dogs into our home.  I have included a few

          become and how much he resembles his father, Preston.

          update on our dog "Ozzy" that just turned 3 years
          old on 6/25.  He is a pup from Dugan and Heidi.

          I consider him my 4th kid.  I have never seen a dog
          that wants to be around people all the time like this guy. 
          We bring him along with us to our kids' soccer and baseball

My husband, Mike Gorsline, purchased Turbo from you last March 2005.  Turbo is the most beautiful, intelligent, sweet, playful, loving, friendly, happy, incredible dog I have ever known.  We had another (black) lab before Turbo from New York, that I adored.  He was loved for miles around in Miami. Today people still talk about our son, Murphy Black, who passed away 4 years ago at the age of 13 years.  I never ever thought I could love a dog again like Murphy.
            But Turbo changed my mind.  Thank you for the last 18 months of love and companionship.  Turbo is admired by all who know him, and ask where he is from.
            We tell everyone about "Endless Mountain"

           The photo on your e-mail cover looks just like "The Turbo".  He is 90 lbs, thinks he is a lap dog and loves to walk and play.  He brings me his leash and licks my face every night at 6:00pm, as he knows the time we go for our long 45 to 1 hour walk.  He loves new places and new people.  He goes out on our boat with us, and has even jumped on our tube with the children to go tubing. I should send you a photo. It is hysterical. I think Turbo would actually sit at the table with fork and knife to eat if he had hands.  He does watch TV at times, if the program has animals on it.
            What a personality this Labrador has. I cannot wait to see him at 2 years of age, when he becomes an adult. Everyday is something new.

          I LOVE THIS DOG(BOY).  If he did not sniff so much, I would think he was human.

Hey,
          Donna!  I thought I would take the opportunity to reply
          simply because we just got home from a walk and I am in a
          bragging mood.  :o)
            
          
We
          are so in love with these two puppies!  They are both
          so special in their own little ways and after only 2 weeks
          with us, they have proven themselves to be very smart dogs! 
          They are doing GREAT in their crate.  They sleep
            together in it at night beautifully and during the day
          are in it together if we need to be away.  There is no
            whining or barking when they are in there and when we
          return, if they are awake, they are just sitting there calm
          as can be until I open the door for them to come out. 
          This literally began happening after just 3 or 4 days of
          using our crate!  They go for walks with me and the
          kids at least 3 times a day!  They have gotten the hang
          of the leash and are already walking right beside us without
          pulling!  I have even had 2 neighbors say they are
          impressed with the way they are walking with us!  We
          are now starting to teach them to sit every time we stop
          walking, which with a little coaxing, they are doing
          consistently!  Noel has taught them to sit quietly
          before they get their food each day, so even though they are
          so excited to eat, they are sitting so nicely!  We
          could not be more impressed!  At this rate, I’m
          thinking they will already know all of the basic commands
          before they are even old enough to begin their
          puppy-kindergarten classes!  We knew from day-1 that
          Grady would be this way, as he was already being so good
          when we got him home at 10-weeks old, but Peaches has been a
          HUGE surprise at only 8-weeks old already learning these
          things!  Did I mention they are both already
            housebroken???  They go straight to the back door
          and sit, then bark or whimper only once, and wait for us to
          let them out!  I think Noel had really high hopes of
          how things would go with two puppies from the beginning, but
          since I have never had a PUPPY, I was really uncertain. 
          I have to say that now I am a believer…we have set the
          expectations high and been consistent, and we found that
          they can do and WILL do anything!
            
          
One
          more note…Grady is already 21 pounds (the vet nicknamed
          him “Moose”) and Peaches is about 10 pounds.  They
          are so LOVING!  Especially Peaches…she will kiss and
          kiss and kiss, especially in the morning!  And not only
          are they loving to the kids and us, but they are loving to
          each other.  I have taken SO MANY pictures of these two
          sleeping because they always cuddle (over an AC vent to keep
          cool, of course!).  :o)  We couldn’t be
            happier…it was worth the drive, for sure!  We will
            keep you updated on all the new things they learn over time. 
            We are just so proud and are so glad they have completed our

          I just wanted to send you an update about Maggie (Endless
          Mt Isn't        
        
          She Lovely from Annabelle/Doc).  She is very intelligent,
          highly trainable, and        
        
          beautiful.  When we take her for a walk, everyone
          comments on how        
        
          beautiful she is.  She is also very athletic
          and goes for a 2 to 4        
        
          mile jog with my husband every morning--so she is very
          muscular.         
        
          Maggie also immediately took to swimming the first time we
          took her        
        
          to a lake.  She graduated from puppy kindergarten and
          is now        
        
          excelling in basic obedience.  Her teachers have
          commented on many        
        
          occasions about what a 'nice' dog she is--she has great
          focus and        
        
          quickly learns all of the new commands.  She now
          knows at least 30        
        
          different words/commands to which she correctly and
          quickly        
        
          responds.  Her teachers have asked where we got
          her (they say they        
        
          are always on the lookout for the names of breeders
          when they see        
        
          'good' dogs like Maggie).  So, of course, I gave
          them your name.  They have also suggested we consider training her for
          competitive        
        
          obedience or rally, given her keen focus and how quickly
          she learns.

Donna:  I just wanted to touch base with you and tell you how pleased the whole family is with Emmitt.  He is so smart...I have taught him so many tricks and he is only 5 months old.  He is extremely obedient too.  He comes when we call him and he loves to go for walks with me and he stays right by me without being on the leash.  We love him so much!  I think he is the best and smartest dog around.
            Thanks for breeding such wonderful dogs!   He is filling out nicely and his coloring is beautiful.  We are thinking about getting a black friend for him one day.  I would like to get one from you again, however, I think this time I would like an older puppy, about 1-2 years.  If you ever have a situation where you needed to find a home for an older dog please keep us in mind.

              We just wanted to give you an
          update on Endless Mountain Kodiak ("Kodi") from
          the Griz/Trixie litter born on Oct. 19th 2005. He was the largest
          of the litter weighing in at over 18 lbs when we picked
          him up. It was a fitting name for our little bear!      
          
          What can I say except that we are absolutely in love with
          him. He has been remarkable since the moment he came
          home with us. Not only did he adjust so well but so
          quickly. Sleeping through the night from the second night
          and housebroken by the end of 2 weeks. I have never seen
          anything like that before! He has the typical lab
          personality and temperament, he is so full of love and affection, sweet
          and gentle and great with kids.      
          
               Kodi is very smart and was
          first in his training class! He loves to go swimming
          in the pool and our pond. He is such a water dog! Everyone
          who meets him is so impressed by how beautiful he is
          and well behaved at almost 9 months old.      
          
          Looking forward to getting a brother for him in a couple

          fantastic, sweet, noble, funny, and dear guy!! He hates the Va. heat and

          humidity, though, and I feel very badly for him!! I know this is greedy, but

          do you have any photos of Manford? I am not too slick on the computer, but I

          know how to forward stuff; so I will sort through my photos; Donna had sent

          a photo of a Bronzen pup for us awhile back ( perhaps it is MANFORD??!!)

          unfortunately, when we picked up B. in late March, Claudia, his sister, was

          'away'... and none of his pups were on the premises!! We were SO impressed

            with Endless Mountain... I am recovering from a very bad injury, and could

            NEVER dream of getting a lab if he/she were not beautifully behaved... B.

            has never pulled, pushed, bumped; he waits like a gentleman for me to get

            down the stairs before he comes down... he is just a prince!!
             When we drove

          in, all these dear lab 'heads' peered out of the kennels, heads of all sizes

          and colors... and they sort of 'materialized' to see us, not one bark... it

          was amazing. We then went inside to where B. was in a crate in Donna's

          living room, and there was a big box with 11 yellow lab pups, and a sweet

          mother lab who let us play with and hold her pups; my husband drove away

          saying, " maybe next year we can come back and get a puppy!! That is  HUGE

          statement from him, because he knows how much work they are!! Has Manford

          been calm since the beginning? I am reading " Marley and Me" and thinking, "

          Whew!!"... I could no longer do that amount of training; I am eager to find

          the reference in that book to Endless Mountain... haven't gotten there as

          yet!! I understand the difference between Amer. and English labs, but I

          would love to hear first hand how the early days were. B. is six years old,

          so if he ever HAD the sillies, they are long gone!! We just don't meet many

          English labs in our area. OK... You've got me all revved up... thanks

          again!! I hope to hear from you about our favorite subject over here!! I'll

Gracie is doing wonderful!  We couldn't ask
            for a better dog!  She has just fit right into our family.
            She's 13 weeks old and pretty much house broken. She is
            doing great with her crate,  you really do breed excellent
              dogs. I'm amazed at how well she behaves. She is
            such a pretty dog we get comments all the time about how
            soft her coat is. I'm so glad we took the time to do the research

          Her name is Sally and although we have only had her 1

          together, eat together and Belle is usually sleeping near
          Sally's crate.        
        
          She went for her first vet appointment and was weighed @14

          daughter Carly has assumed alot of responsibility and
          since we are already        
        
          big dog walkers, Sally is already getting used to mini
          walks along side

          and really doesn't nip or jump too much.  He already
          knows sit, stay, come and off (I can't believe he's only
          10 weeks old).       
        
          I was walking him Friday in the rain on my property and
            the UPS truck literally stopped in the middle of the road
            to compliment me on such a beautiful puppy.

          is Jane Frantz and Fritz.  I’ve emailed you a couple
          of times regarding Fritz’s achievements but don’t think
          you have received them.  Hopefully you receive this
          email.I am so proud of Fritz – He is out of Endless
          Mountain Dugan and Fluffy Casey Sue.He is only going to be
          four years old this May, 2006.  He is such a wonderful
          dog.  We just received our UD Title last Thursday at
          the Labrador Retriever Club of the 
            Potomac
          .  We took first place and were the only dog that
          qualified.  We have only been competing in the Utility
          class since last November and it took us only five tries to
          get our title.  I had our picture taken at the show
          last Thursday and will try to send you his picture.In April
          we completed our Rally Excellent Title.   We
          breezed through Rally with three wins in Rally Novice, three
          wins in Rally Open, and three wins in Rally Excellent. Fritz
            and I have a bond that I’ve never had with another dog. 
            He is so willing to please and tries his best in everything. 
            I am so glad that I found your site and purchased Fritz.

             Here is an update on Halo, the last of the
          Melody/Grizz litter.  I will start off by saying she
          is an AMAZING puppy.  I can't believe just how
            smart she is!  On her second night home, she was
          already whining/barking at the back door to go outside to
          go to the bathroom.  I have never seen that in a
          puppy so quickly, EVER.  She has been unbelievably
            easy to train.  After only a few training
          sessions, she already learned how to sit and come. 
          She will begin her puppy classes in about a week. 
          She is an absolute sweetheart, and gets along extremely
            well with the other dogs in the extended family. 
          She loves to play with them, and doesnt seem afraid of
          anything, even when the older dogs try to establish their
          dominance over her.   So thank you so much for
          an amazing pup!!!  I have already recommended you
            to friends, and when in the market for another pup,
          will absolutely return to Endless Mountain!  We can't
          thank you enough!!

          doing.  She is truly one of the  brightest dogs
            we have ever had.  Training her has been a
          pleasure. Her  temperment is exceptional.  She is
          loving and sweet and has bonded with our female golden. We
          love watching them interact particularly when Casco feels
          the need to clean Mystics' ears.  We can't
          beleive that she is going to be 14 weeks Monday!  It
          seems like yesterday we brought her home.  She
          walks with with us 2 miles everyday and I cannot tell you
          how many people stop us to comment on how beautiful she
          is.  Her coat is truly to die for.         
        
          We are already talking about the next dog (black female).  You
            truly breed amazing animals and for that we are eternally

          trainer in my area this morning, he couldn't believe

          tone and behaviour that he doesn't even want to start with
          basic we are        
        
          going to be starting with advanced and working our way up
          to search and        
        
          rescue. He is very excited to be doing that with her. He
          also said that he        
        
          has trained many dogs before and never has had one so
          calm and willing to        
        
          please. He and his assistant both commented on her
          "beautiful" coat and how        
        
          it shines and wanted to know where I had found such a GREAT

          progress. He also told me that its nice to see someone
          care so much about

Almost 2 years
            ago, (March will be 2 years), I packed up my 2 -yr-old son
            and I drove 7 hours to pick up a puppy from you and
            turned around and drove another 7 hours home with my new
            pup.  It was the best day ever.  I am a single mom
            to a 4 year old boy and watching the 2 of them together has
            put more smiles on my face than ever before.  "Niko"
            is such a loyal and absolutely beautiful dog.  When we
            walk him, people stop and ask questions about him wanting to
            know where i got him, etc.   He loves people and
            he loves us.  He protects us and he is a faithful
            companion to both my son and I.  I just wanted to say

          Snickers is doing.          
        
          She is 90 percent house trained, knows how
          to sit with hand command and shakes hands. 
          She gets along well with our 13 year old
          and my daughters 3 year old dog.  She

          picked her up.  She is in our room in
          a doggie bed.  The first night she
          whined a little but I would reach over the
          bed and tell her go sleep and that was it! 
          I can't tell you how much she is a part of
          our family now.  She is one of the
          smartest pups I have ever had.         
        
           
        
          My husband is amazed at her progress. 
          He is thinking we should get another in
          the next year or so.  We may be
          looking at another chocolate or a yellow

                                I wanted to update
            you on Sandy Hans. She was from the Trixie and Griz
            litter. She is such an amazing dog. I hate to brag but at
            10 weeks she is already potty trained, knows sit, stay and
            heel. She is making lots of friends. Kids stop by all day
            to visit her and she has several dog friends. She comes
            with me each day to pick the kids up from school and
          really likes the car now. ..          
          
          
                My children can't
              get enough of Sandy and since it's been so warm out they
              have taught her to fetch a Frisbee and go down our slide. 
            The play kick ball and hide and seek and Sandy jumps right
            in. We have taken her to the beach several times and she
          chases shells into the water.          
          
              She adjusted to our
            home very quickly and loves her crate. She sleeps in it at
            night in our bedroom. She barks once to go out around
            3:oopm and goes potty and we get right back into bed. I
            expected it to be much harder to train her than it
            was. ..

              are using her food as her training treats so she isn't over
              eating.
            
            
          
              My husband used to kiss me
              hello first - now he greets Sandy then kisses me. 
          She has become my best friend and my shadow.      
        
                Sandy is happy and

Just writing and sending you pictures of Austin, son of
          Tina & Brunco.  Austin is an extremely smart lab. 
          He learned the basic commands in a matter of days after we
          took him home.  Austin loves swimming in Grandpa's
          pool in Paramus.  He runs and jumps into the pool
          better than any adult or child that I have ever seen! 
          The snow is a catch 22, he loves playing in it, which is
          fun, but we can not get him back inside.  Wanted to
          thank you for your dedication to the breed for
          this is the smartest and best looking lab that I have
          seen.  Everyone else that sees him says the same. 
          One of his most amazing traits is his love for kids.        
        
               I have recommended others who
          have inquired about Austin.  We noticed a couple of
          months ago that you were selling Austin's Father, Brunco,
          and we were wondering if there are going to be any other
          labs that you might be selling that are older (not
          puppies)?

          – This is Jane – I bought a puppy from you 3
          years ago.  (Endless Mtn. Fritzgerald, CDX, RA 
           – “Fritz”)  
          
Just
          an update on my Fritz – He is doing so wonderful for me! 
          We had our CDX title before he was 3 years old.  We now
          have our RA (Rally Advanced) title.  We are now working
          on our UD title and RE title.  He is such a great dog.
          
For
          a little pat on our back – We entered the “All Stars
          Performance Show”  this year.  You needed 3
          scores of 190 and above even to enter.  We made it and
          entered in the Open Class.  There were nineteen dogs
          entered in that class.  People and dogs came from all
          over the world to show.  A lot of the peopled that
          showed were professional trainers and had been showing for
          years.  Fritz is my first dog to show in obedience and
          I was just honored to be able to attend.  We placed 8th
          in the Open Class out of nineteen dogs.  What a thrill
          that was for us!
          
You
          should be very proud of what you are doing with your dogs as
          my Fritz is just an example.

          Now at 6 months old she is a real beauty.  Her
          deep cocoa color is amazing

          Rick each and every morning out at the local hunt club.  Her
          playmates        
        
          include Baylee a 160lb mastiff, Benji my sister's
          coonhound/beagle and Lorna

          Bella is smart as a whip, as we were told when we picked
          her.  She takes        
        
          after her mom Liberty from what I gathered from the

          Johnathan.         
        
          It has been a very sad, tragic year for us, we have lost 3
          family members        
        
          within 5 months of each other, including my mother and I
          can tell you that        
        
          when I get home and Bella greets me, she makes my heart a
          little lighter.        
        
          She chases the kitties at every chance she gets.  Trapper
          Kitty just loves        
        
          her and is constantly rubbing up against her and looking
          to play, Mouse on

          Thought you might like to see a picture of Cooper
          (Liberty/Doc) at age six months. He's really a  wonderful
          dog, very smart and happy. He's going to obedience class,
          and is the star of the class! The trainer just loves him.
          She is a Lab breeder, and can't say enough good things about
          his personality.

          Cooper just wants to please. There's nothing he can't or
          won't do, as long as he understands what is being asked of
          him. He believes everyone is his friend, and every day is an
          new adventure with exciting things for him to discover!
          Yesterday, he discovered a blowing leaf was really a
          chipmunk! Boy, was he ever surprised! And off he went, after
          the chipmunk, who just barely escaped. Now, we chase EVERY
          leaf, because surely one of them MUST be another chipmunk!

          Thank you for Cooper. He's everything we ever wanted, and
          more than we ever dreamed. He's truly a blessing for our

            again,        
            
              I've
                been meaning to send you another picture of Lucy... 
                She's 2-1/2 now.  We can't tell you enough what an
                amazing dog she is!  She's smart, loyal,
                well-behaved, an excellent retreiver, exceptional swimmer,
                and so beautiful!  I can't tell you how many
                compliments we get...asking for training tips, etc...but
                we haven't done anything out of the ordinary with Lucy at
                all.  We simply explain that the breeder makes a huge
                difference in selecting a dog.  She's so willing to
                please & intelligent that she learns things
                in no time.  But anyway...I could brag forever
                about her.  Here's the picture.  We think
                she looks a lot like her father (Dougan)....  Thanks

I
          wanted to let you know that our black female from Doc/Chessie’s
          litter is just adorable!  We named her Toby.  She
          is so well behaved, mild mannered, playful and loving! 
          The perfect mix of personality traits that we were looking
          for!  We love the shape of her face and her body
          structure.  She is a beautiful puppy.  We
          couldn’t believe how well she took to crate training. 
          Every night (including the first night) she didn’t fuss or
          mess all night!  On the second morning, she even knew
          what door to go to let us know she had to go out!  She
          has had very few accidents in the house.  She is
          amazing!  We were also impressed that she knew how to
          sit on command … and she was only 8 weeks old!  She
          is so comfortable around my husband and me.  She also
          loves to be around kids and other dogs.  Everyone loves
          Toby!  We are looking forward to training her as she
          gets a little older.  It is very obvious how
          intelligent she is.  We can’t wait to see what she
          will be able to do as she gets older.

Well, it may be too late, but
            hopefully you'll still enjoy hearing from us about our
            now, 2 and a half year old yellow lab, Bailey! ... 
            Bailey is such a terrific part of our lives and
            family...because of her 3 other families have gotten
            dogs.  She is the most loving, affectionate dog I've
            ever had or seen.  She loves to "hug and
            kiss" - until we are weak with laughter and exhausted
            from her loving!  Her parents were Tessa and Dugan...She
            loves all people and all dogs.  We travel to SC each
            summer and she's wonderful in the long car ride. .. We
            crate trained her and she still goes in it to sleep during
            the day when we're out...she's not chewed up any shoes or
            furniture, so we consider that a blessing!  She
            spends much of her days in the summer - swimming in the
            lake in front of our house, chasing tennis balls in the
            water!  I cannot imagine our family without her...
            Thanks for having such a great facility; for raising
              such wonderful dogs and for adding so much joy to so many
              families!

          fact that the endless mtn. labs were the best looking

Our Brandy (Doc/Maybelle's pup) is now 6 months
            old. We had open our pool several weeks ago and just
            started using it this past week. Brandy was a little
            unsure at first, but after about a few hours she walks
            right down the steps and off she goes!! When we go for
            walks, people still stop us to let us know how beautiful
              she is and how beautiful her coat shines. She is
            such a wonderful dog...exellent temperment!
            Where ever we go, she goes too. Even if it is running
            to a store, she is with us enjoying her car ride. We
            will give you an update when she is a year old.

          Attached are some pics of our
            "puppy" from Griz/Tiffany litter. She has
            completed the AKC good citizen and is doing well. She will
            be entering the advanced class in near future. She is a
          good looking dog.        
        
          She is also training hard to beat the
            undefeated feline in the local "Pet
            WrestlingFoundation smackdown". (Ithink she has a
            tender side and could whoop butt if she really wanted
            to!!). If that pic surfaces, it will be an insult to
          canines everywhere!!!!!!!

Dear Jonathan & Donna -
Just wanted to drop you a
          note to let you know how our dog Ozzy is doing.  He
          will be turning 2 on June 25th.  He is a pup from Dugan
          and Heidi's litter.  We are continuing to enjoy his
          tremendous  personality, loyalty and affection towards us and
            our 3 kids.  He is our golden retriever Buddy's best
          friend!  Ozzy wants to be with our kids all the time. 
          He actually taught himself how to let himself out.  He
          hits the latch on the screen door with his paw and opens the
          door.  If the kids are out, he wants to be out. 
          If the kids are watching TV, he lays down with them. 
          If they are in the bathtub, he lays right beside it (and
          occasionally jumps in when mom isn't looking!).  He
          also plays basketball with my son and his friends.  He
            will steal the ball from them and actually dribble it with
            his nose.  He also plays soccer with the kids in the
          yard too!  He hits the ball with his nose and pushes it
          along the ground.  It definitely is a site to see! 
          I go on your website constantly and still have yet to see
            a breeder that has even come close to the quality of your
            dogs/puppies.  Keep up the good work.  I'm
          sure we will be back in a couple of years for a black lab
          puppy.

Just
            wanted to let you know that Stella (Ivy/Sam) is doing
            great!  She’s over 6 months old now and probably
            weighs around 55+ lbs.  We are always getting
              compliments about her beauty-the vet even commented on it
              and told us that he sees a lot of labs, and she is a real
              beauty! I remember when we picked her up, you said how all
            of the pups in her litter had such pretty faces and that
            they got that from Ivy.  She is very well behaved,
              too.  Definitely still a puppy, but if she is this
            good now, she will be amazing a few years down the road. 
            My husband is teaching her how to hunt and swim; swimming
            was a breeze-she hopped in a neighbor’s pool and off she
            went.  The hunting/retrieving has been going well
            too-my husband took her to his hunting club where she was
            training with other dogs, some titled Master Hunters. 
            When it was her turn, she retrieved the bird without a
              problem and returned to heel like a pro.  We joke
            that she can now hang with the “big dawgs”!

Hi Donna, About a year ago (she will be 1
          on June 6) we purchased a pup from you from Frosty and
          Grizzly Bears litter.  Just checking in to let you know
            that this puppy does you proud.  She is everything we
          could have wanted in a puppy. Zoe is beautiful to look
          at and stands taller than most of the labs we have
          seen.   She is strong and weighs in at
          80lbs.but does not have an ounce of fat on her. She has
          the sweetest personality and it is very rare that
          I turn around and she is not behind me looking to have her
          ball thrown or just waiting for a pat on her head. 
          People have mentioned to us that we should show her but we
          prefer to keep her all to ourselves.  Thank you again
          for bringing her into our life.  On a different
          note, I have a friend who would like to get a black
          lab.  I told her she absolutely must get it from you. 
          She would be interested in getting it for her sons birthday

Just
          a quick update on Wyatt (Doc/Martha litter). He is the
            greatest dog ever!  He is nearly six months old now and
          weighs about 60+ pounds and  is so smart!  We couldn’t be
          happier with him. I recommend you guys to everyone I know
          who is interested in a great quality lab puppy. As you can
          tell from the pics he has a soft and gentle side, especially
          when playing with our four daughters and a rough outdoors
          side.  All in all a very well rounded family pet. Thank

I finally got a
          quite moment to tell you how lucky Sarah
            and I are to have our
              puppy that you blessed us with.  "Kya"
              is a dream.  I look forward to coming home to her
                everyday to play, take her for a walk or just take a nap
                with her.  We get a minimum
                  of one compliment a day from people during our walks saying
                  how beautiful, loving and most importantly how "good"
                  she is.  We picked up Kya at the beginning of January
                      from the Miriabelle/Doc litter born on December
                        10th. 
                        I had wanted to join a puppy training course leading up to
                        us picking her up.  I decided that I
          would take extra time that she
            deserves and train her on my own.  Kya except for the
            first night has never kept us up at night whining in the
            crate or evening playing to loud.  In addition I
              am able to take her out without a leash at 4 ½
              months and feel comfortable that she will listen to us. 
              She knows several commands and is still learning new ones
            every day.
One other quick
          note I would like to add,
            the food that you recommend I
              would highly recommend to anyone that is "skeptical"
              about ordering food or even paying "a
                  little" bit more for it.  Her fir coat is just
          as shiny
            and beautiful as can be.  We have had very few cases of
            upset stomach and most importantly
          she is a very happy energetic
          puppy.

Hi Jonathan and Donna, I wanted to write and tell you how
          Gideon is doing        
        
          since he turned one year old this week! He's a black puppy
          from Annabelle and        
        
          Doc that I got from you last May. He is a beautiful boy
          and I love him dearly.        
        
          When I first got him home I was a little worried for a
          while, because he was        
        
          so calm, (unlike a lot of lab puppies!) I thought he must
          be ill! But of        
        
          course that was just him. He has grown in to the exact
          dog I wanted. He is so        
        
          gentle with my other dogs, and just a really sweet guy. He
          looks a lot like        
        
          his Dad too, which I'm very happy about! I just wanted to
          let you know that he        
        
          is very loved, and will be, hopefully into very old age:)

          I just wanted you to know how GREAT Guinness is
          doing....Last night he passed the Bright and Beautiful
          Therapy Dog test..Now a cert therapy dog...Guinness and I
          have been training since he was 10 weeks old and it has
          paid off.....He is the most loving dog that gets along in
          every situation....he has great looks too.....I think
          there are alot of people at the monticello kennel club who
          were mad that I did not show him and altered him....he is
          my pet and we love him SOOOOOO much....I could not do the
          show thing with him.....I might do obedience with him in
          show....I'll let you know if he gets any points......        
        
           
        
          Brodie is also doing great, he is more of a agility
          dog..very obedient but just reserved......he need more
          confidence .....Since his personality is more reserved
          than Guinness I been working on other skills with him and
          he is doing very well..... we love him too......Maybe he
          too be become a therapy dog but that will take some time
          with him.......

          We just wanted to give you an update about our little
          Brandy!  The ride back home to Toms River, NJ (5
          hours) was great!  Brandy slept the entire time on my
          lap.  She even held her pottying until we came home. 
          The first night was a little rough for us with her crying
          but we knew she would get better as the days went on...         
        
          We only have her for about 5 days and she is
          content, gentle, inquisitive, has a great
          disposition, and is a very lovable dog!  Everything
          we hoped for in a dog.  We are SO happy with
          her!!  Our twin girls are adjusting very well with
          her...        
        
          We wanted to thank you both for your very thorough and
          informative website!  Without it, we would have
          never known about the English Labradors.

Hi Donna, this is Irene Proukou. We got the first
          male pick from the Casey/Griz litter. His name is Rugby
          and he is doing great. The best thing about him was that
          he never cried the whole way home(3 1/2 hours) and slept
          the whole night his very first night with us. After only
          one week he was going to the door whenever he needed to go
          out and after two weeks he was potty trained. He is very
          confident and secure. He is currently taking a
          kindergarten puppy training class.  definately ...couldn't
          be any friendlier. We were so happy with the whole
            process of getting him from you, that we wanted to
              thank you. We are seriously considering finding a
          brother for him, at Christmas time next year, since this
          time of the year has worked well for us. We would love to
          know if you ever mate Casey and Griz again even if it's
          not around Christmas time, then Rugby would have a
          true sibling! Please let us know what you think about

I
          acquired one of your pups in February (born 12/6/03 of Rolf
          and Martha). His name is Samson. I just wanted to let you
          know he is doing extremely well, and I’ve included a few
          photos. He is extremely intelligent, independent, and has a
          line of hair down his back that is curly and slightly longer
          than the rest (you can see a bit of it in the second photo,
          although it is most impressive between his shoulder blades).
          We call it his toupee.  I remember when I picked him up
          you remarked that because he had curly hair on his ears, he
          would have curly hair. Well, that he does!

          hoping to come back and get a little sister for him
